Vintage 1999 Americana Quilted Wall Hanging
This beautiful Vintage Double Sided Quilt Features Hand Embroidered Applique Letters that Spell out AMERICA, Americana Flags and other various Quilt Block Patterns on the front and the back of the Quilt. The Faded Looking Fabric adds to the Americana Look.
The back has a wide dowel pocket for hanging and a red quilt label that reads "HMRe Mounds View Minnisota 1999"

Question: When you have to piece backing fabric together to make it large enough do you add extra stitchwork to your seam to give it extra security? I do when I use Flannel for my backing. I don't quilt through my flannel backing so I secure my seam before adding it to the top. After doing the binding I stitch a line or two to attach the backing to the top but all my quilting is done on the top before adding my flannel backing.

Easy DIY Fall Decor using old Doilies and a wood picture frame. Use liquid starch to stiffen the doilies then attach to a piece of white cotton fabric attached to a piece of cardboard. Add short sticks for the stems & other adornments like ribbon. Then place in a picture frame.
