EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS FOR GAZA

Update: added two new fundraisers to donate to + new informations on the current situation

My commissions are now open for Ahmed Azmi, Siraj Abudayeh, Ahed Alshaer and Mohammed Iwais.

Note : additional characters are half priced (Bust : 5$ ; Half-body : 8$)

(vetted, in the Help Gaza spreadsheet, number 1199)

(vetted, in @el-shab-hussein and @nabulsi spreadsheet, number 219)

These 4 fundraisers are in urgent need of funds.

Ahmed's wife is pregnant and delivered at the end of August, her family members were injured during the Nuseirat massacre and their family home was bombed. They especially need funds for Ahmed's sister-in law who got severely injured in the eye and needs to get surgery. He is now taking care of both his family, his wife and their baby, that is 12 people, and needs help for both evacuation, food and medecine.

Siraj is a journalist taking risks every day to report on what's happening in Gaza. He wish to rebuild his home in his country after the previous one he worked so hard to build was destroyed by the IOF. With the current attacks and bombings, he is in dire need of support as he has to take care of multiple family members, his children who are getting more sick by the day. They are barely surviving yet he travels everyday more than 3km through war zones just to keep on posting and asking for help.

Ahed is a dentistry student who lost everything and wishes to continue her study in safety and evacuate with her 6 other family members. She is very concerned for them and their health, as her father is diabetic and her mother suffers from a chest infection. Their current condition makes them very vulnerable and they are in great danger, especially with the high cost of medecine.

Mohammed is the provider for his siblings and nephews, a total of 27 people. They already lost 10 family members and so many belongings through their 7 (!!) displacements. His sister has recently been injured by a quadcopter and had the bullet removed, on top of his family members getting sick and not being able to afford a tent to sleep. These last few days have been particularly terrible, yet everyday he is doing his best for his loved ones. Donations could help alleviate a bit their pain and difficulties.

This only a fraction of what all these families have to go through. If you can, please read what they have to say about their struggle on their posts and their gfms.

The goal of these commissions is to help them at least a little bit, be it to fund necessities such as food, medecine and tents or to contribute to bigger expenses like rebuilding their house or evacuation fees. But at the end of the day, the main focus is to help them survive.

If you are interested in getting art and helping them, please contact me! If I'm okay with your request, just send me the proof of donation of the correct amount to one of the campaign linked above and I'll draw what you asked.

If you have any question don't hesitate to DM me.

Thank you and please share!

People making post to (rightfully) mock zionists are getting more interactions than the ones on fundraisers. That's great that you are laughing at them but what are you actually doing to help their victims? How much times do palestinian have to wait for you to start caring? Do you need to see another beheaded baby to start donating or is it just performative?

I can't believe than even after posting about the shootings my friend Shahed and her family survived and her showing the BULLETS that got in their house (not the first time it happened) people barely gave attention to her posts and donations are getting even slower. Only 3 in one day.

If I can't post for a day I feel like people on tumblr will forget her and abandon her campaign. And frankly I don't have much hope that people will act to help her get to her goal, be it short or long term.

If you can't donate then please at least share her posts @drshahd and @shahdhatem, make your own posts to reach more people, send her fundraisers to people you know or tag them. Just please do something !

I don't know what to do and what more to tell you to get to act.

We failed to reach the goal of 20k by Wednesday.

Please help in anyway you can to reach it this week max, Shahed has been getting even less support than before and she is not even at the halfway point of her campaign.

Urgent Help Dalia's family ...

Dr dalia Story:

My name is Dalia and this is my story. I am 27 years old, a laboratory doctor, and a graphic and website designer, also a private lessons teacher. Before October 7th, I had a beautiful and peaceful life with my family. I had ambition and many dreams. I was working in Al Shifa Laboratory and had an office for my design work as well as private student groups. But now everything has changed. What happened to us is a nightmare. I lost everything at once, my home and my work in all its aspects. We are repeatedly displaced between danger and death.

Help Aseel and Ahmed care for their newborn baby

Aseel's delivered her baby on August 30th after months of struggles to afford food and medical treatments for her family members. Her husband Ahmed barely ate to give his food to his pregnant wife and her family members were injured during the Nuseirat massacre as their house was bombed. Aseel's sister got severly injured in her right eye and needs surgery.

Please consider donating to them and help take care of their newborn girl, they only have 4.4k left to raise to reach their goal on GFM.

Ahmed is in the Help Gaza spreadsheet, number 1199

NO DONATIONS IN MORE THAN ONE DAY

And it was the only donation in 24 hours previously too! This campaign is stagnating and is being neglected. I don't know why people are not more preoccupied about a family with a newborn baby and multiple injured members + malnutrition???

$5 in two days

I really can't grasp my head around how to make you realize how much palestinians need your help. That's what other people on here have been doing far more eloquently than me for almost a year now. Apparently words do not help so here are some pictures :

That's Ahmed, he has been fundraising for his family's evacuation funds for months, he also spent a very long time trying to ask for help for his mother's knee surgery. In this period, Aseel's family house had been bombed during the Nuseirat massacre and both her mother and sister were severely injured. He then tirelessly worked on funding medecine and eye surgery for his sister in law, food for both his family and Aseel's, and care for his pregnant wife (mind you, by this time his mother didn't even got enough for her surgery, it was a race against time and very stressful). He gave his wife his share of food and didn't have much to eat. On the photo he is holding his baby who is now less than two weeks old.

This is him with Aseel's sister after the bombing. I didn't choose to post the most "graphic" photo of her injury but honestly I think seeing the gravity of what they are going through is important too. She still needs money for the medical treatment. I still remember how much time he spent at the hospital, so much he couldn't always post about his campaign.

If you want to know, The campaign I put in my post is Aseel's, because Aseel fundraising has been going better than Ahmed. People do not give a shit about palestinian men and Ahmed knows it and realize how little the world consider him worth. Aseel's campaign got a good start at first and now people don't give a shit anymore I guess. It's not like pregnant women have been especially vulnerable to the horrendous current living conditions in Gaza.

I'm tired of seeing them struggle and of people not caring. So please do not give them more reason to stop hoping for help.

Donate, share, boost but just do anything to help them.

I'm seeing so many palestinian fundraisers that are getting completely abandoned by people the moment they meet a short term goal or a goal they need to extend, if not a bit before. This can't keep happening, especially when one of the reason they need to extend their goal is because fundraising is taking so much time and the prices in Gaza are only going up. Making them wait even more will only exacerbate the problem.

These last few weeks, the complacency towards campaigns has been getting worse and worse and I don't know why. I hope everyone reading this realise palestinians have been constantly victims of bombings, shootings, malnutrition and diseases for close to A YEAR now. This should not ellicit apathy at the amount of suffering we're seeing from them everyday but the opposite! We should keep helping even more!

When the US and other western countries are more willing to give weapons to Israel than we are to donate $5 to a palestinian family, what does it say about us?

In any case, if you still care about helping people going through a genocide please consider donating to my friend Mahmoud @mahmoudjumaa1238 . He had to extend his goal to 20k because of the increasingly high living expenses in Gaza and need to get to 15k by the end of September. Since reaching 10k he has been receiving very few donations.

€10,413 / €15,000 (short term goal)

We need to get to 11.5k by the end of the week. Only one donations in 24 hours. Please share and donate.

€10,458 / €15,000

We're barely making progress, please donate whatever you can, he needs to reach at least 11.5k by Sunday

Hello everyone,

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your incredible support. Thanks to your generous donations, we’ve reached €50,000! 🙏💙 This is a huge milestone, and every contribution has made a big difference in helping my family during these tough times.

However, with the current situation, I’ve realized that €50,000 won’t be enough to cover all the expenses. It turns out that around €40,000 will go towards coordinating the Rafah border crossing, including the transfer fees. Additionally, we didn't anticipate that the Rafah border closure would last this long. With prices in North Gaza being 300% higher than usual, my family desperately needs help to cover their daily needs.

I’ve already sent some money to my family, but we face a 35% transfer fee on each amount. For example, I sent them €5,000, but I had to pay around €2,000 in fees to get it to them. These fees are making things even more difficult.

For this reason, I’ve decided to raise the campaign goal to €70k. This increase will also account for GoFundMe’s fee, which is around €2k. The remaining amount will be allocated as follows:

€8k will be used to cover my family’s current needs in Gaza during the ongoing border closure.

€10k will be set aside for their exit from Gaza to Egypt once the Rafah crossing opens.

Additionally, there will be transfer fees for moving the funds, which will further reduce the amount received by my family.

Once again, thank you all for your continued support. Your generosity means the world to us, and we hope we can continue this momentum to ensure a safer and better future for my family.

Hazem called his parents yesterday, who asked him to please raise the goal for his campaign because they worry about not being able to afford food, since the border does not seem like it would open in September.

There hasn't been a donation to Hazem's family in almost 3 hours. Please donate what you can.

€50,670 / €55,000 weekly goal. Please help us raise €4,330 more by the end of Sunday. This campaign is officially stagnant

hi all, i am making a post for my friend Ahed (@ahedalshaer), who just turned 22 before the invasion. She is a dental student, and she's worked hard to advocate on her family's behalf since her family campaign was verified as #407 of the butterfly effect project’s vetted fundraisers.

yesterday, Ahed messaged me directly to tell me the horrifying news that her uncle was martyred in the iof bombardment of al-Mawasi camp 2 days ago. Ahed fears for her own life, but also for the rest of her family, including many young siblings and cousins. Please don't reduce Ahed's family to numbers, stop being desensitized to this scale of tragedy.

Please continue to help Ahed and her family work towards getting enough money to be evacuated when the border reopens. This is their only hope.

Only 2 donations in the past EIGHT HOURS. €6,812 raised of €80,000 goal as of September 11. Please continue to help this family.

Campaign close to completion!

Imagine trying to sleep, while being forced to listen to a loud, unavoidable noise. A noise that heralds danger, a danger that has already hurt someone you care about. A danger you can do nothing to protect yourself and your love ones from. This is what Mohammed Iwais has to go through every night.

Mohammed Iwais @mohdiwais has spent months trying to raise money so he and his family in Gaza may evacuate to safety. Now, he is struggling to gain connection to the internet, making this goal even harder for him.

Without a good internet connection, he struggles to keep in contact with people through Tumblr, or to make posts to raise funds for his campaign.

On top of all this, Mohammed has to deal with the constant sound of quadcopters nearby him. This sound is an extremely loud droning noise, which causes fear and stress, and makes any kind of sleep or rest extremely difficult. One of Mohammed's sisters was hit by a quadcopter bullet several months ago, and is struggling to heal while being trapped in Gaza without proper medical treatment.

Right now, the Iwais family's campaign is close to completion. They only need ~ $3.1k USD to reach their goal. However, this certainly doesn't mean that it is acceptable for you to stop caring, or for donations to slow down. Mohammed and his family need your help to be able to evacuate!

Please, help them finally reach their goal. If you are not able to donate right now, please help share their campaign.
