For those unaware, "Begin" here is Menachem Begin, the Israeli prime minister in 1982.
Long before leading Israel, Begin was a leader in Irgun, a terrorist paramilitary which used violent tactics to establish a Jewish state in Palestine. A group of Jewish intellectuals including Albert Einstein and Hannah Arendt referred to Irgun as "a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organization," and they also said that the Herut political party which emerged out of Irgun was "closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties." The Herut party eventually merged into Likud, the political party of both Begin and of current Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In other words, the ruling political party in Israel is partially descended from a terrorist organization.

Posted on behalf of Mariam, whose campaign for her family of 12 (13 until her sister's husband was recently killed trying to dig people out from under rubble) direly needs more action. You can watch her full video on her campaign page.
Mariam's brother was also killed, leaving behind three children who are now under her care. Her father is disabled and uses a wheelchair and struggles to get around as they keep receiving evacuation orders to places that aren't even safe. They really need funds to get food because Mariam has already had to seek medical attention for malnutrition.
