UOW sport:
changing the game

Sport has always been a central feature of the University of Wollongong. We are seeking to improve the health and wellbeing of our diverse communities through delivery of high-quality sport education and research, innovative facilities and mutually beneficial partnerships and alliances.

Study sport or exercise

UOW is ranked in the top 150 in the world for sport-related subjects as per the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024.

This places sport alongside engineering, nursing and materials science as among the University’s most internationally recognised areas of study and an area that plays a crucial role in sustaining our broader international institutional ranking of equal 162nd – QS World University Rankings 2024.

Growing up in a small town, sport was my whole life. I want to use my degree and take my skills back and give opportunities to the country kids. Zoe Welsh
