Sierra Leone’s electoral review body set to submit report
If all goes as planned, Sierra Leone’s Tripartite Committee, established to review the country’s electoral systems following the controversial June 2023 presidential polls, is supposed to submit its report Wednesday. It is made up of seven members from the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, seven from the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), and one member representing the international community. Now, the opposition APC has suspended its participation. Lansana Dumbuya, National Secretary General of the APC, tells VOA’s James Butty, t the government representatives on the committee refused to make available the June 2023 election results.
