An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for Humboldt County from 11 AM PDT Saturday morning until 11 PM PDT Tuesday evening. Excessive heat may result in a major risk for heat-related illnesses for much of the population, especially those who are heat sensitive and those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. Heat-related impacts are possible if simple precautions are not taken. Plan to take action to reduce time outdoors, stay hydrated, and remain in air-conditioned buildings. As always, never, ever leave a child or pet in an enclosed automobile.
