Incomplete and incorrect edits

[edit]

This bot is creating incomplete and incorrect edits. It's adding {P|50}, it's not adding the series ordinal (P1545) and it's not deleting associated author name string (P2093) if there is one, meaning the author (P50) that the bot adds is NOT an author of the item edited. as example, see https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q56989536&oldid=1581705440

I discovered the item above is based on a really problematic ORCID. I've addressed it with the author who SHOULD have received credit and with ORCID. They have locked the "hijacking" ORCID so they can sort it out. What follows is another incomplete edit that I think your bot can do better with. It should provide the series ordinal and the stated as. See https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q107742672&type=revision&diff=1576567526&oldid=1533916972 . I hope this can help your potentially quite useful bot to generate more complete edits. Trilotat (talk) 22:05, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please repair your partial edits.

[edit]

Your edits are (were) incomplete and have resulted in numerous duplicate author items. If you don't delete the authorstring items associated with the authors you added, eventually someone will add the author based on the authorstring you neglected to remove. Perhaps you know this now but the massive number of edits your bot generated is still a problem. Is there any hope that you'll go back and clean this up? Hi, thank you @Trilotat for pointing on this. I will take care of it. Orcbot (talk) 13:38, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure this is a massive repair you'd have to complete, but I hope you haven't given up. See Peter De Cat (Q83809246) at

Wrong info inserted

[edit]

Your bot inserted wrong info. The individual (Kurt Michael) was never an author for that article. OhanaUnitedTalk page 19:14, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
