Thank you for contributing to the Durkee/Cann genealogy. My grandmother Grace (Durkee) Jewett was born in Yarmouth, NS and descended from "New England Planters" (Benjamin, Crosby, Durkee, Raymond, Robbins, Robinson, Westcott) who were recruited circa 1760-62 to farm land vacated by the Acadians after their tragic expulsion in 1755. These families came from Massachusetts and Connecticut.
