Not logical ? John Whitlock vs. John Whitlock

Question

A John Whitlock d. about 1659, was having children in Milford, Connecticut, 1640-1655 ish. (estimated dates - ch. underage in 1659). His widow (names unknown) m. Henry Whelpley.

A John Whitlock b. c. 1585 Cholesbury, Buckinghamshire, England m. July 10, 1610 Sarah Vile, had Hannah Whitlock (b. 1613) who allegedly married Joseph Baldwin Nov. 10, 1636. There is another alleged daughter Rose who I haven't researched at all. I've not been able to find anything to corroborate these dates.

These are currently the same person, but the timeline makes no sense. m. 1610, ch. b. 1613, then as late as 1655. Perhaps two wives? But there is no indication that the Milford man had a previous wife or that he had a daughter Hannah m. to Baldwin, or Rose m. to Parker.

Can the John Whitlock of Cholesbury, wife and children be confirmed?

We sent researchers a couple of years ago to Buckinghamshire record office and they could not find any record of there ever have been Whitlocks living in Cholesbury, Bucks.  The connection to Sarah Vile was determined to be pure speculation.  The John Whitlock who died in 1659 was likely born about 1623 and shows in the Salem, Massachusetts records 1643-1650 before moving to Connecticut.  The Rose Whitlock who is also in Salem in 1643 married Abraham Parker in 1644.  John Whitlock heads the Whitlocks of Connecticut family and YDNA tests have shown this family shares YDNA with the Whitlocks of New Jersey who came from Wiltshire.  Francis Webb was in Salem by 1629 building a mill there.  His sister Katherine Webb married Alexander Whitlock in 1625 in Salisbury, WIltshire.  We now suspect this is the connection that brought these Whitlocks to America.  The family likely came from Pitton a small town 3 miles from Salisbury.
