Sidney Mack KC was born about 1870 at Deloraine, Tasmania, Australia. He was the sixth son of Hans Mack and Jemima James. His childhood was spent in Wesleyan circuits as his father moved between Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales. After graduating from Sydney Grammar School he studied law at the University of Sydney.
Sid became a barrister, was called to the Bar in 1892, and became King's Counsel in 1918.[1]
He married Kate Knight, in 1903 at Sydney.[2] They had four children:
Sid passed away, aged 64 years on 24th April 1934 in a private hospital at Drummoyne, New South Wales. The funeral was held in St James' Church of England (Anglican Church), Sydney and his ashes were interred at Rookwood Cemetery.[3] Sidney was survived by his wife, three daughters and son.
