Emily Ellen Jane Terry was born in 1885 in Balmain, New South Wales (Australia). She was the daughter of Charles Terry and Alice Mitchell. [1]
Emilie married Arthur Carrick in 1909 in Sydney, New South Wales. [2] The couple subsequently had six children, however, Arthur was retrenched from the Government Printing Office during the Great Depression and the family were subsequently evicted from their large 'rambling-style' home in Woollahra. The moved to Randwick before settling at Bondi.
Having been widowed for thirty years, Emily passed away in 1970 in Bankstown, New South Wales. [3]
