According to the Aerobiology unit of Turku University, the birch pollen season begins in Southern Finland next week, with less pollen predicted than usual. The winds from Central Europe have already brought some birch pollen to southern parts of the country.
Birch pollen from southern Finland may similarly waft up north next week, before birches there bloom.
The Alder pollen season has already passed in the south, and there are relatively small amounts of Alder pollen in the air in the north, where the season is only beginning.
