According to tech news site Tivi, IT firm Fujitsu Finland is beginning new co-determination talks, this time in order to cut about 400 jobs.
Previous codetermination talks at Fujitsu Finland which began in May were concluded in June, resulting in 139 workers losing their jobs.
The job cuts are part of the company's restructuring plans. In April Fujitsu Finland transitioned its business model to unify operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Fujitsu Finland currently employees approximately 2,600 people.
Tecnotree to shed up to 40 jobs
Another Finnish tech firm, Tecnotree, announced on Tuesday it was entering employer-employee negotiations with the aim to cut up to 40 jobs in Finland.
In a press release the company said that the cuts were being made on financial and productive grounds, and that the negotiations concern all 108 of its workers based in Finland.
In a stock exchange release made public in early August, Tecnotree announced a savings plan to reduce personnel costs by five million euros per year.
Tecnotree, listed on the main list of NASDAQ Helsinki, says that it employs about 900 workers worldwide. The company website states that it serves about 90 service providers in around 70 countries.
