In a world where #hepatitis testing and treatment have been made more accessible, what’s stopping people from getting tested? Societal attitudes and taboos not only discourage individuals from seeking testing, but also perpetuates a harmful culture of silence and blame surrounding the disease. Many people are reluctant to get screened for the fear of being labeled as someone “who deserves it”. The reality is anybody can get hepatitis, but nobody deserves it. In a social experiment we conducted, four people bravely shared their diagnosis. However, millions continue to live in silence. We believe everyone deserves to get tested. By shining a light on hepatitis we can move closer to achieving the World Health Organization 2030 hepatitis elimination goals. Learn more: http://spkl.io/60404C4q0 #WorldHepatitisDay
