@Shiroi Hitomi：首頁確實是很久沒更新了，但它的主要問題似乎並不在這裡。我也不太清楚把原先首頁的色塊拿掉是否能增進讀者的閱覽感受（反而還顯得更陳舊了）。總之，如果沒有重大改進的話個人覺得沒必要改。—TongcyDai  ฅ • ω • ฅ 2024年6月27日 (四) 09:14 (UTC)

@Shiroi Hitomi： 如果有更多改進的話會更好。個人覺得像閩南語維基百科這樣的設計看起來更清爽且有活力，不過當中的內容究竟要放什麼還需要再考量（當前首頁上的附錄實際上都已經過時了）。此外，更改首頁是大事，建議到啤酒館和社群討論溝通更為合適。—TongcyDai  ฅ • ω • ฅ 2024年6月28日 (五) 07:08 (UTC)

@Apisite：Hi. I don't have the time, and creating videos is far beyond the responsibilities of a Wiktionary editor. However, I can briefly explain in writing how we typically approach this task.

For entries that already exist in the English Wiktionary, we use the English version as a "template". We translate section titles, most template parameters filled in English, and text passages in sections such as pronunciation, etymology, definitions, and usage notes into Chinese. We may add content not mentioned in the English version (for instance, the English entry for 影像 doesn't mention that it's also one of the Chinese character forms for the Korean word 영상 (yeongsang)). We might also trim content that seems overly verbose in Chinese. If you're very familiar with the target language, it's highly recommended to consult related resources to expand the entry.

Most importantly, editing the Chinese Wiktionary implies a certain level of proficiency in Chinese. This is necessary to accurately describe explanations, etymologies, and other text passages in Chinese. As mentioned in the homepage description of Wiktionary, "This is a collaborative project aiming to create a free multilingual dictionary, using Chinese to define and describe words from all languages." As I've mentioned before, if your Chinese proficiency isn't sufficient for these tasks, you should carefully consider refraining from editing the Chinese Wiktionary.

Lastly, as you can see, there are still many entries in the Chinese Wiktionary that need improvement. Besides enhancing existing entries and writing new ones, we need to maintain templates and modules to keep them in sync with the English Wiktionary while ensuring proper localization. Every editor is busy and responsible for ensuring their contributions adhere to formatting standards and community consensus. However, no one is obligated to meet unnecessary demands from others or constantly clean up messes caused by someone else's whims.
