A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH EVENT ORGANISED BY POWER DIVINE MISSION, BUSHBABY FOUNDATION, COOPERLEMON CONSULTANCY AND OVAL MINING On the warm and sunny afternoon of December 24th, the school grounds of Evergreen School buzzed with excitement as children from Kanakantapa gathered for a special Christmas lunch event organized by Power Divine Mission, Bush baby Foundation, Cooperlemon Consultancy and Oval Mining. Laughter and chatter filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere that echoed the spirit of the Christmas season. The focal point of the day was the eagerly anticipated lunch, but before the delicious aromas of food could take centre stage, the event kicked off with the introduction of a distinguished guest – the area councillor of Kanakantapa who graced the occasion as the guest of honour. With a warm smile, the councillor captivated the audience with inspiring words, emphasizing the importance of community and shared experiences. Among the dignitaries in attendance was Mr Phiri – the school head teacher, whose eyes beamed with pride, the Kanakantapa Area Police Command and the Kanakantapa Resettlement Scheme manager, who observed the proceedings with a watchful eye. Their presence added formality to the event, underscoring the significance of the event in fostering connections beyond the boundaries of the school. The excitement reached a fever pitch as the first program unfolded – a spirited football match between Evergreen School girls team and the Kanakantapa community girls team. The girls, dressed in vibrant jerseys, showcased their skills and sportsmanship on the field. Cheers and applause erupted from the spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere of friendly competition. The second game, another football showdown, featured Evergreen Primary School – boys team facing off against enthusiastic members of the Kanakantapa community. The match not only showcased the talents of the players but also exemplified the power of unity and collaboration across different groups within the community. As the day drew towards midday, casting a warm glow over the playing field, the final game took centre stage – a thrilling netball match. The Evergreen School team, with determination in their eyes, engaged in a fast-paced competition with the equally passionate members of the Kanakantapa community. The court echoed with the sounds of quick footsteps, excited cheers, and the occasional burst of laughter. Throughout the games, the sense of companionship between the teams was profound. Zambia's Mineral Trading Permit Process A mineral trading permit is a legal authorization or license granted by a government or regulatory authority that allows individuals or companies to engage in the buying, selling, and trading of minerals within a specific jurisdiction. The permit is typically required to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing mineral trade, including environmental, social, and economic considerations. A mineral trading permit is distinct from a mining license, as it specifically pertains to the trading aspect of the mineral industry rather than the extraction or production of minerals. It is usually applicable to both domestically produced minerals and imported minerals that are intended for trade within the country. The issuance of a mineral trading permit involves a regulatory process, which may vary depending on the country or jurisdiction. The permit may require applicants to demonstrate their legal standing, financial capacity, and compliance with relevant regulations, including tax obligations, environmental impact assessments, and adherence to ethical sourcing standards. In Zambia, a mineral trading permit is a legal authorization granted by the Zambian government to individuals or companies involved in the buying, selling, and trading of minerals within the country's jurisdiction. The permit is issued by the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development or other relevant regulatory bodies and is required to ensure compliance with the country's laws and regulations governing mineral trade. The Zambian mineral trading permit is necessary for both domestic mineral producers and traders as well as those involved in the import and export of minerals. It aims to regulate and monitor the mineral trade, promote transparency, prevent illegal activities, and ensure responsible sourcing and trading practices.
