What happens when a Swiss luxury watchmaker known for its pilot watches collaborates with one of the world’s best airlines?

To mark the 70th anniversary of its legendary Navitimer aviation watch, Breitling has announced a new collaboration with Singapore Airlines (SIA) and its travel retailer, KrisShop. The collection comprises two watches, each made in a limited edition of 100 pieces.

The first is the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition, which sports a dial in SIA’s signature shade of blue. The SIA logo is also engraved on the crown. A classic Navitimer, the timepiece also features a circular slide rule, three chronograph subdials, baton indexes and a notched bezel. A flattened slide rule and domed crystal creates a more compact profile. The watch is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a self-winding chronometer movement with a five-year warranty.

The Navitimer Automatic 38 Singapore Airlines Limited Edition meanwhile is a self-winding alternative to the 41 with a trimmer 38mm format without chronograph. The caseback of the watch is engraved with SIA’s iconic batik design. The watch is powered by the Breitling 17 movement, which offers an approximate 38-hour power reserve with a two-year warranty.

Both timepieces come with a steel bracelet, and a caseback engraved with “One of 100”.

Alvin Soon, president of Breitling Asia, said: “We are particularly excited to embark on this journey with Singapore Airlines and KrisShop, a partnership united by a passion for aviation and an unwavering commitment to quality and precision. This was prominently reflected in the final product design, which we are proud to say was a truly collaborative effort between Breitling’s design department, pilots from Singapore Airlines and the KrisShop team.”

The timepieces are available exclusively on KrisShop’s Batik Label concept store. The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 is priced at S$13,037 (or 1,629,625 KrisFlyer miles), while the Navitimer Automatic 38 is priced at S$7,336 (or 917,000 KrisFlyer miles).

Chris Pok, chief executive officer of KrisShop, commented: “We’ve always taken pride in being a heritage-rich, local label, and feel strongly about bringing our crafts and capabilities to the rest of the world. The output of this collaboration epitomises the distinct traits associated with the wider Singapore brand, which include quality, expertise and innovation. We are honoured to work with Breitling on this project and are excited to see how it resonates with our local and international customers."
