2. List of the main cookies used on Europe PMC

This is a list of the main cookies set by Europe PMC web pages, and what each is used for.

Cookie name	Description
JSESSIONID	JavaEE session ID used to keep the user signed in to the website.
User-UUID	User unique ID which retains information about a user's recent searches and articles viewed for users who prefer not to have a user account, and valid for one year.
location_host	Domain name used by ORCID authentication to differentiate different domains and sub-domains of Europe PMC.
EuropePMC_ACC_PLUS_REMINDER	A cookie for Plus and Europe PMC integration. Reminds users that they can connect their Europe PMC Plus and Europe PMC accounts.
EuropePMC_PUUID	When a user chooses to sign in to Europe PMC using their Europe PMC Plus account, this cookie will be generated by Europe PMC and used later by Europe PMC Plus to verify the user. Once signed in, the cookie will be deleted.
REMEMBER_ME_COOKIE	A cookie to keep the user logged in even the session has expired.
