Andrei Tarasenko heads Federal Marine and River Transport Agency

MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - Andrei Tarasenko has been appointed head of the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot).

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding order. Zakhary Dzhioyev, who had headed the agency since August 2022, resigned, the Russian government said.

Tarasenko, 61, was acting governor of the Primorye territory from October 2017 to September 2018. He became deputy head of Rosmorrechflot in 2018, leaving in 2020 to become head of government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). He had been deputy head of the Natsrybresurs federal state unitary enterprise since November 2023.
