Tetiana Skrypchenko, Project Manager, Deputy Director of "Соціологічна група "РЕЙТИНГ"", and expert at Research Laboratory Rating Lab , told "Podrobytsi" about the situation with Ukrainian refugees in Europe: many refugees living abroad are experiencing improved financial stability, which significantly impacts their decision-making process. Additionally, access to education plays a pivotal role, as the opportunity for children to receive quality education abroad often outweighs considerations of returning to their home country. The intersection of economic factors and educational opportunities shapes the migration patterns of refugees worldwide, highlighting the importance of addressing both aspects in refugee integration policies. Trust in the Ukrainian army is at the forefront. 96% of Ukrainians trust the army. For Ukrainians, soldiers are sacred individuals. Regarding the situation with other institutions, trust in the government has decreased: President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently trusted by over 60%. Two years ago, this figure was 94%. — stated Liubomyr Mysiv, Deputy Director of the Sociological Group "Rating," which conducted the study commissioned by the International Republican Institute (IRI). #Ukraine #Military #Trust #Government #Research

Deputy Director of the Соціологічна група "РЕЙТИНГ" , Liubomyr Mysiv, shared the biggest revelation from the latest study in an interview with Radio NV. He noted that the main revelation is the change in attitude of the young population (18-35 years old) towards the socio-political situation in the country. Previously, this demographic was more optimistic, but the situation has now shifted. Support for holding elections among young people has increased, with 45% of them expressing a desire for immediate parliamentary elections. #Sociology #Politics #Youth #Elections #Society #Ukraine #RatingGroup #Research #YouthInPolitics #Parliament #YouthVote

Last Friday, experts from the Institute for Behavioral Studies at AUK Volodymyr Vakhitov and Nataly Zaika presented the results of the study "The Way Home: Who among Ukrainian Refugees and Migrants Plan to Return" on the AUK Campus. According to the research, about 50% of Ukrainian refugees who ended up in Poland after the full-scale invasion expressed their willingness to return to Ukraine. Most of them are women with children who continue to study remotely in Ukrainian schools and people of mature age, mostly Ukrainian-speaking and parishioners of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Among those who would like to return in the near future or someday, there are people with a more pronounced Ukrainian identity, those who feel proud of their country, have visited Ukraine more often and are more optimistic about the time of the end of the war. Volodymyr Vakhitov noted, "It is necessary to encourage Ukrainians to visit their homes more often, and therefore, it is necessary to make it easier to cross borders. It can also be beneficial to forge stronger connections with Ukraine through the cultural and educational spheres and better integrate migrants and refugees into Ukrainian society." We are grateful to Volodymyr Vakhitov and Nataly Zaika for the incredibly important research and practical recommendations on how the state and the corporate sector can encourage Ukrainians to return home. The Institute for Behavioral Studies at American University Kyiv invites you to a presentation of the findings from the study "The Way Home: Who Among Ukrainian Refugees and Migrants Plan to Return". AUK faculty Volodymyr Vakhitov and Nataly Zaika will present the results of the survey conducted by the Rating Group on the Rating Online platform between December 12-19, 2023, encompassing over 1,100 Ukrainians who departed for Poland both before and after the full-scale invasion. The research complements the results of in-depth interviews (conducted in November-December 2023 by the Socio Inform company) with Ukrainian women who were forced to leave homeland, and those, who have already returned to Ukraine. During the presentation, speakers will delve into the complex factors influencing Ukrainians' aspirations to return home such as their sense of national identity, nostalgia for their native land, and their outlook on the future and others. Special emphasis will also be placed on individuals who migrated to Poland before February 2022. The presentation will take place on March 22 at the AUK Campus and will be streamed live on the AUK YouTube channel. The event schedule: - 17:00-17:45 – presentation of research results, - 17:45-18:30 – Q&A session. Kindly note that registration via the following link is mandatory to attend the event: https://lnkd.in/etatg5Jp We look forward to your participation in the event on a topic of critical importance to Ukraine.
