AdventHealth Medical Group Agreed to Pay $807,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Not Performed

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Florida Hospital Medical Group, Inc. d/b/a AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), Florida, agreed to pay $807,255.95 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that AHMG submitted improper professional fee claims for a physician’s pulmonary, laparoscopic, hiatal hernia repair, rib resection, and thoracoscopy surgeries that included codes for procedures that were not performed.
