On July 19, 2012, the Los Angeles Times blog announced that the second youngest of the Kardashian family, Kendall Jenner, would be the face of Beverly Center’s Fashion’s Night Out campaign. This week, news of Kendall’s big gig is all over the fashion front.
The fourth annual Fashion’s Night Out will commence on September 6, 2012. Editors, models, celebrities, designers, and fashion-lovers will head to participating stores and malls across the country. Last year, events in eighteen countries and more than 4,500 events in the US alone featured limited-edition products, celebrity appearances, and performances.
For the fashion extravaganza, the Beverly Center chose rising fashion star Kendall Jenner as the face of their campaign. With all her modeling gigs in the past year, it’s difficult to keep up with this Kardashian:

Kendall’s first gig was a Grease themed photo shoot for Forever 21′s Twist Campaign. Before this shoot, she had no modeling experience. After getting some posing tips from sis Kim, she got comfortable in front of the camera and would model for a number of shoots after that. [Read more...]

Lauren Conrad is promoting sustainable fashion with her new XO(eco) collection of lifestyle products for travel, beauty, and shopping. The line is a collaborative effort between Blue Avocado and REPREVE fabric, a material made from reclaimed and used plastic bottles recycled into yarn. Each product comes with an Impact Label, showing how many plastic bottles were recycled for each item. In the promotional video, LC enthuses over the XO(eco) Shopper, which is a tote bag that is made from seven plastic bottles!

Khatuna Lorig has achieved a lot throughout her life, and she doesn’t plan to stop racking up successes anytime soon. The Republic of Georgian-born archery master is getting ready to compete in her fifth Olympic games, but before she jetted off she took the time to talk with EG about the upcoming London Olympics, how she got into archery, and of course Katniss Everdeen’s archery skills.
Not only is Khatuna a star athlete, she’s a teacher to the stars too! Khatuna trained Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games. In our interview, she dishes on some of her and Jennifer’s funniest training moments plus her best tips for staying fit. We think she knows what she’s talking about judging from her killer fit body!

Just last week, news of Penelope Cruz becoming the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2012 Key To The Cure campaign became public. In honor of the cause, Carolina Herrera joined in and designed a limited-edition T-shirt open for purchase at saks.com on October 1st. All proceeds will go to EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
With so many celebs supporting causes ranging from illness to education, they (along with many philanthropists) work to produce change in our world—and rally others to do the same. Check out nine more great causes fronted by stars after the jump.

Lots of new and exciting things have happened in the last couple of months for my clothing line, Jolynn. I launched a new website with my newest fall collection and information, so check it out! I also got picked as one of seven emerging Asian American designers to showcase my clothing line at a charity fashion show called Fashion for a Passion, taking place this coming October in Dallas, Texas. The fashion show is organized by a non-profit organization, Against the Grain Productions, which raises funds for orphanages in Asia, community outreach programs, and scholarships. Each designer will also donate one or two pieces from their collection to auction off for the charity. I’m very honored to be part of this event!
