Russia's foreign minister has spoken candidly about the war in Ukraine in an exclusive interview with the BBC's Steve Rosenberg.

Lavrov, a mainstay of Putin's inner circle accused the West of dragging Ukraine into Nato, calling it a criminal act.

He also said that British politicians were only concerned with 'the next election and nothing else".
