Gear up for Corey Baker's ultimate Dance Race

From classical ballet and Strictly Come Dancing to choreographed skydiving and car-eographed driving, Corey Baker’s new film is a thrilling race across the UK for Dance Passion 2022. It rallies dancers, drones, precision drivers and a closed track - buckle up for dance like you’ve never seen it before.

The UK’s dance artists, from classical ballet dancers and Strictly Come Dancing stars to choreographed skydivers and car-eographed drivers, race across the country to meet Lady G in Corey Baker’s thrilling new film.

Corey Baker is known for his films featuring dance in striking and unexpected locations, including the award-winning Swan Lake Bath Ballet for BBC Arts, filmed in the bathtubs of elite ballet dancers around the world during lockdown.

Part of Dance Passion, a celebration of dance on the BBC during February and March 2022.

BBC Arts, in partnership with One Dance UK and supported by the Arts Council, bring you unique perspectives on the creative forces in dance, and spotlight innovation in choreography and performance.

• Josie d’Arby and Karim Zeroual present five hour-long programmes of dance as a boxset on BBC iPlayer, and a special highlights programme on BBC Four;
• Performances by thirty-two companies, recorded in ‘dance hubs’ across the country;
• Exclusive first screening of excerpts from Carlos Acosta’s Don Quixote from Birmingham Royal Ballet;
• World premiere of Corey Baker's thrilling new film, Dance Race;
• Fourteen short films and interactive projects exploring innovative ways to capture dance.
