  1. Goodnight

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Righto. That's enough for tonight.

PSV will be slight favourites to progress to the group phase of the Champions League but Rangers are still very much in this tie.

One thing is for sure, the Ibrox side will need to sharpen up when defending corners.

Rangers go to Hibs on Saturday lunchtime, while PSV have a free weekend to prepare for the return game next Wednesday.

  2. Big decision for Rangers boss...

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Alfredo Morelos is only just back after five months out. The Colombia striker will probably get some game time at Easter Road at the weekend and he is fond of a goal against Hibs.

Antonio Colak is a man on form, with four goals in four games and his finish this evening was a beauty.

But Morelos is the Ibrox club's all-time leading goalscorer in Europe and has come up with some big goals over the years.

It could be a dilemma for Giovanni van Bronckhorst if he does get a chance and takes it on Saturday.

  3. Is second leg made for Morelos?

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Neil McCann

Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: I don't think it will be a pressing game for Rangers in Eindhoven, so Morelos could preserve energy and just use it like an explosion on the counter-attack
  4. 'Both teams are so balanced' - Van Nistelrooy

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

PSV Eindhoven boss Ruud van Nistelrooy tells BT Sport: "First half Rangers were the better team, we struggled. The fans were behind them and we had to go through a difficult phase.

"The better of the chances were for us in the second half and 2-2 is a fair result. We had to change a couple of things at half-time.

"Both teams are so balanced, hopefully our fans can lift us that little bit [next week]."

  5. Van Bronckhorst praise for Colak 'energy'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells BT Sport: "It was very close, the differences aren’t that big. The tie is open. We go next week and still have the chance to go through. PSV are an excellent team they showed that today."

The Ibrox manager says he wasn't tempted to throw on striker Alfredo Morelos and explaining that Antonio Colak "gave the energy the team needed".

"His work-rate when we don’t have the ball is really good," the Dutchman adds. "He scored a great goal. I’m happy with his performance.

"It’s not only with the ball, it’s without it and he brought energy as well."

  6. Post update

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Steven Thompson

Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Rangers have got a tough match at Hibs on Saturday, so they'll need a strong team. But both Old Firm sides have got really strong benches now and Saturday - Wednesday is no problem for players
  7. 'Colak's best Rangers game so far'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller on BT Sport: "That's been Antonio Colak's best game for the club since he arrived. It's still early days, but there's no doubt he's settled quickly."

Ibrox legend Ally McCoist on BT Sport: "Alfredo Morelos would give you more in link-up. But if you give Colak delivery into the box, he'll score you goals. Four goals in four games, he's certainly got a goal return."

  8. 'Rangers need more from Kent'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Tom English

BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

Quote Message: Rangers need more goals from wide positions. Kent should be a mainstay, a go-to guy in this team, but I don't see it often enough. The game almost passed him by in the second half.
  9. 'Both teams can play better'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Steven Thompson

Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Both teams can play better and Rangers will need to next week because it will be very difficult in the Netherlands. You can't carry any passengers in a game that means so much
  10. 'Rangers lost their way'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Neil McCann

Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: I think it's a fair result. Rangers lost a bit of control in the second half. But I don't think 2-2 is a bad result whatsoever.
  11. 'Big, big hope for second leg' - Colak

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Rangers striker Antonio Colak tells BT Sport: "It was a tough game. We played with an amazing support at home.

"We scored twice, but unfortunately we conceded two goals. There's big, big hope for the second leg.

"I'm happy to score and help the team. We want to continue like that. We'll make it a good game in Eindhoven."

  12. Post update

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Rangers are now unbeaten in eight European home games, but a run of four straight wins comes to an end.

Image caption: PSV goalkeeper Walter Benitez is consoled by manager Ruud van Nistelrooy at full-time after his dreadful error
  13. 'Rangers nowhere near levels of last season'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Tom English

BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

Quote Message: Rangers were fortunate to be 2-1 up. PSV had the better of the second half. Rangers were nowhere near the level of performance we've seen against Braga, Leipzig and Dortmund. They were pretty average.
  14. 'Questions need to be asked'

    FT: Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Neil McCann

Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Obispo just wanders in unmarked to head in the equaliser. PSV are a big team and we knew they were good at set-pieces, so questions have to be asked. People need to do their jobs.
  15. FULL-TIME Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

The tie is level going into the second leg next Wednesday.

Rangers came from behind to lead and will regret some slipshod defending from corners.

On the balance of play, a draw is probably fair since PSV were on top when they gifted the hosts a goal from a dreadful goalkeeping error.

  16. Post update

    Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Huge groans from the the Ibrox crowd as Scott Wright elects to play a short pass that is intercepted when he had time to swing a cross into the penalty box.

  17. Post update

    Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

James Tavernier gets up impressively to nod a deep free-kick into the path of Antonio Colak but Andre Ramalho gets across to clear, perhaps giving the Rangers striker a wee tug on the way. Not enough in it for the VAR geezers...

  18. Into stoppage time...

    Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Three more minutes being added.

  19. 'Outstanding performance from Sangare'

    Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

    Richard Foster

Former Rangers defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Ibrahim Sangare has been outstanding for PSV. He's possibly one of the most composed players I've ever seen. A fantastic performance.
  20. Post update

    Rangers 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Here's that moment Walter Benitez won't want to see again - ever.

It was a gift for Rangers, but they've let the advantage slip.

Can the home side summon one last push to take a lead to the Netherlands?
