What do blue diamonds reveal about our planet?

In November, the Okavango Blue Diamond was revealed to the public for the first time. Named after the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the diamond is extremely rare for its vibrant blue colour, weight of 20.46 carats and a near flawless clarity.

Beyond its appearance, the Okavango Blue Diamond is symbolic of Botswana's decades-long diamond industry and provides insight into the deep interior of the Earth.
