My family and I spent wonderful five days at Villa Massis. Located only a short drive from San Ignacio, in a small neighbourhood called Bullet Tree Falls, the accommodation provided perfect tranquility. It was so nice to “come home” after a day of excursions and enjoy the peaceful jungle garden settings around the house, while cooling down in the very well maintained pool. The villa itself is very new and all the amenities and furnishings are tasteful and contemporary. Our two bedroom apartment had a private balcony from we watched a variety of birds every day. Family operated, the staff went over and above to ensure our comfort. Larry, writer of a Belizean travel guide, shared lots of his country knowledge with us and connected us to an amazing jungle tour operator. Mel is a wonderful cook and despite having many restaurant options in town, we enjoyed Mel’s home cooked and authentic Belizean cuisine every evening .
