Today at NAB Show we announced the launch of Broadspan, a datacasting platform to enable data distribution capability across all current Sinclair NextGen Broadcast (ATSC 3.0) markets where it serves as the host station. Edgio, Inc., a leading content delivery network, will become the first go-to-market collaborator of the Broadspan datacasting platform. This marks an exciting step forward for broadcasters and consumers, and begins to fulfill the promise of digital convergence offered by ATSC 3.0. That will help provide meals to roughly 3000 people in our community. In Oklahoma City our FOX25/KOCB Team packed 375 BABY mobile food boxes…10,400 diapers made into 260 diaper packs! One of the things that makes working at Sinclair Inc. so special is our commitment to giving back to our community. Yesterday, our IT organization and Compulse teamed up for #SinclairDayofService at the Maryland SPCA! We spent our day cleaning crates and cages, stocking trucks with cat and dog food, and walking some of the cutest, most adoptable pups you’ve ever seen! It was a truly rewarding experience to be able to help out at the SPCA and make a difference in the lives of these furry friends. And no, I didn’t come home with another dog — which is a reason for celebration. #iykyk

WJAC-TV volunteers at Staple Bend Tunnel! Yesterday, for our contribution to Sinclair Day of Service, our team used rakes, shovels & saws to clear a 900 foot trail path for hikers & bikers along side this historic trail. Thank you to our company, Sinclair Inc. who created the initiative as a way for us all to give back to the many communities that we all represent and care so deeply about!
