The Analytical Chemist is responsible for the routine analyses of production samples.

Monday – Friday day shift. Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.

The Analytical Chemist is responsible for the routine analyses of production samples.
Essential Functions
- Ensure samples are analyzed in a timely manner using a variety of analytical instrumentation including but not limited to ICPOES, IC, UV-VIS, XRD, FT-IR, etc.
- Execute routine and ad-hoc analytical tests on various sample types to validate product quality and uniformity
- Perform Calibrations, Maintenance, and Troubleshoot problems with analyzers that may affect production or quality control
- Develop, Review, Validate, Verify, and Update analytical methods ensuring compliance with partnering laboratories
- Train lab staff of newly implemented and revised methods
- Develop and maintain chemical inventories, training records, instrument maintenance logs, and other Standard Operating Procedure Related Documentation as needed
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis for deviations or nonconformances and participate in addressing them through Corrective Action Reports
- BS Chemistry required
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in industrial lab setting or related quality role
- Must have strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting instrumentation
- Experience in working with a Quality Management System
- Must be able to multi-task effectively
- Strong organization skills required
