Nutrition Educator
Overview
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
- Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
- Conducts nutrition presentations at WIC clinics and health fairs
- Obtains, verifies and documents participant information and keeps information confidential
- Obtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participants
- Maintains accurate records of nutrition presentations and presents a written evaluation quarterly
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
- Associates Degree in Nutrition; Dietetic Technician Registered by CDR of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Experience working with culturally diverse population
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Approval from NJ State WIC Office required (per WIC program grant requirements)
- Valid State Driver's license
