In the biggest border crossing point (BCP) in Europe, and the second in the world. By whom? Our EU border guards deployed there 👮♀️👮 📍 Kapitan Andreevo BCP is a Mecca for border guards, due to its professional growth potential, and the end of the road for all sorts of criminals 🇧🇬 Located in Bulgaria, at the border with Türkiye, it recorded 7.6 million passengers last year with 3.5 million vehicles 🚘 🌟 “The #Frontex team here is amazing. My colleagues are reliable, and willing to go above and beyond while doing their work” said Daniel, Frontex group leader in Kapitan Andreevo. 💎 Our EU border guards deployed there have solid expertise in detecting cross-border crime, stolen vehicles, and fraudulent travel documents. Happy 17 May, Norway! 🇳🇴 👋 As we celebrate the Norwegian national day, we would like to acknowledge our Norwegian colleagues! Meet Hilde – an information officer working in Greece. 🎒 “I like to travel, and I like to see new places, new cultures. You’re challenging yourself by going alone without anybody, you know. I’ve always fancied the idea of actually living in a place for a longer period and seeing more of the local life than if you’re a tourist. 🤝 “That’s what I think is most interesting. You get to know local people differently because you're working there, living there, not just visiting for a week. Also, because I learn a lot of things that I can actually use at my regular job back home.” 17 EU border guards from Norway work in #Frontex operations all around Europe 🇪🇺

We have wrapped up a coast guard functions workshop in Cascais 🇵🇹 organised together with Marinha Portuguesa - Página Oficial and GNR - Guarda Nacional Republicana in the framework of European Coast Guard Functions Forum 🌊🤝 💡 During the two days, we explored the latest advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence – essential tools in improving maritime surveillance. The use of innovations not only enhance our operational capabilities but also ensure the protection of lives at sea and the security of our borders. 👮♀️ A key focus was also placed on leadership diversity within the coast guard sector. The "Women in Coast Guard" panel highlighted the importance of empowering women to take on more prominent roles in maritime security, a step that is crucial for building a resilient and inclusive coast guard. Thank you to all the participants for their invaluable contributions and to our hosts in Portugal for their hospitality! Together, we are setting new benchmarks in maritime security and leadership 🚢🌍

    Head of EU Reintegration Programme

This week, #frontex is facilitating a study visit of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Armenia to exchange information and practices on return and reintegration. The study visit, organised within the framework of the Frontex ‘Technical assistance projects for third countries on return, readmission and reintegration’ (TAP4RRR) aims to support the efforts of our Egyptian partners in building and strengthening their return and reintegration mechanisms. The experience of the Armenian state authorities in return and reintegration is a good example of how authorities of countries of origin take a strong ownership in the area of return and reintegration. This exchange of knowledge and expertise are crucial to enhance our joint efforts in ensuring a fair, humane, and effective reintegration process across the EU, and build strong partnerships to achieve common goals. Together, we can continue to improve our migration management practices. #Frontex #MigrationManagement #Egypt #return #reintegration #Armenia https://lnkd.in/g8VjtJx4 https://lnkd.in/gHq2z3w8
