Dion’s Road to Croke

Dion Dublin joins BBC Sport’s Thomas Niblock to learn about Gaelic football, following the road from club and county on to Croke Park to watch Derry take on Cork.

Footballing legend Dion Dublin joins BBC Sport’s Thomas Niblock on a 48-hour road trip to learn more about Gaelic football and experience the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Their journey begins in the north west, at the foot of the Sperrins, and Watty Graham’s GAC, the home of Glen football club, where Dion meets All-Ireland winner Enda Gormley, the current Derry senior football captain, Conor Glass, and the people and young footballers that make the club what it is today. Day two sees Thomas and Dion make their way to Dublin and the impressive stadium that is Croke Park as Conor Glass’s Derry take on Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final.
