  2. Post update

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

Some nice early touches of the ball for both teams.

Leicester play out from the back and work the ball up field but give the ball away and Spurs take a chance to pass it around the back themselves.

  3. KICK-OFF

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

Visitors Leicester get us under way at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

  4. One to watch: Jutta Rantala

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Midfielder Jutta Rantala has been in outstanding form for Leicester this season. The Finland international has registered the most goal involvements of any player in the FA Cup this term, scoring two goals and registering 2 further assists for the side.

Indeed it was a Rantala brace that secured Leicester's place in the final four, with her two strikes in either half against Liverpool enough to send the Foxes through the quarter-finals.

She has also notched six goals and four assists in Women's Super League, and added a further goal in the League Cup too.

Will she prove to be the difference maker for her team again this afternoon?

  5. 'If people want to use us as the underdog that’s fine.'

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Interim Leicester boss Jennifer Foster says she is unfazed by the "underdogs" label attached to the side, as they prepare for the first-ever semi-final appearance in their history.

"At the end of the day people can perceive us how they want to. If people want to use us as the underdog that’s fine. Our focus is on what we need to do," she said.

"We set out the ambition at the start of the season to get as far as possible in this cup and we’ve done that. There’s still one more step to go and hopefully we can get there. In terms of the prospect of getting to an FA Cup final is motivation enough."

Foster added, "It’s good to have nerves, as long as we are able to turn that into adrenaline and performance I think we will be completely fine.

"I’m sure there will be a few nerves. With the experience we’ve got in the squad a lot of players have played in World Cups, Euros etc. So we will probably be relying on a lot of the experience they have to help the younger ones or players that haven’t been in the situation before.

  6. England striving to lead Spurs to glory

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

    Emma Sanders

BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The FA Cup is all about magical moments, crazy results and individuals shining on the biggest stages.

Beth England took her moment in the quarter-final, further cementing herself as a fan-favourite at Spurs with a dramatic late equaliser to take their tie with Manchester City to extra-time. They eventually won in a penalty shootout.

Since her arrival at the club, she has scored 14 goals in 14 WSL matches to help them survive relegation last year, was later named captain and has bounced back from injury this season to spearhead them to an FA Cup semi-final, with three goals in the competition.

    A pretty impressive 16 months.

I spoke to her this week about winning the FA Cup with former club Chelsea and how she wants to do the same with Tottenham.

"It's Tottenham's ambition to make this a permanent thing", she said.

What a statement it would be to do it in Robert Vilahamn's first season.

  7. Post update

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

We're just minutes away from kick off now as the players are lining up in the tunnel before taking to the pitch.

How do you see this tie going? Thumbs up for a Spurs win or thumbs down for a Leicester victory.

  8. 'There will be excitement, we just need to make sure we channel that'

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester interim coach Jennifer Foster speaking to BBC Sport: "It feels great. I was always going to be a part of this. Unexpectedly in this position but I have been taking charge of the team for the last few weeks and I’m really pleased to be here and lead the team today."

On the emotions in the dressing room: "Great, we’ve got a lot of experience and I think that will count today. We talk about big stadiums but pretty much all of our starting XI have played in those big stadiums so in terms of nerves they’re not feeling that. Of course there will be excitement and we just need to make sure we channel that today."

On the importance of Leicester's more experienced players: "Huge. We have two times Champions League winner in Janice Cayman and for players like that, they are going to be really vital today and lead the team in terms of their experience and knowledge in vital moments."

On her unchanged starting XI: "It was a really positive performance. We looked solid in everything we did and it’s about rewarding those so that’s why we’re unchanged today."

  9. 'It’s a big game but we also need to enjoy it'

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn speaking to BBC Sport: "It’s a big game but we also need to enjoy this game. It’s a beautiful day at this stadium and we are going to play a semi-final. Of course go for the win but also enjoy the game.

On beating Arsenal at this stadium the last time they played here: "Last time we were here we had an amazing feeling together and we’re going to use that today because we are playing good football on this field, it’s a big stadium, it’s a big field and we can use that."

On naming an unchanged starting line-up: "We played some really good football in that game and played well together. It’s a good starting XI, it’s a great bench so we’re going to have a good day today."

  10. Post update

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

An exciting day for both sets of fans and players, but what is the message from both managers ahead of this historic occasion?

  11. 'Exciting time for both clubs'

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

    Anita Asante

Former England defender on Football Focus

It is an exciting time for both clubs. Leicester have been through a bit of a tumultuous period with the transition of manager, so reaching this stage is a massive feat for the club.

In terms of Tottenham, they are having a great season and have the opportunity to equal or surpass their best ever finish in the WSL, and they also have the opportunity to get to Wembley and play in a major final.

You want to get there, play in front of your fans and hopefully take the chance to bring a trophy home for the first time.

  13. Six coaches and an early morning

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

    Emma Sanders

BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

This is a HUGE day for both of these clubs - a first Women's FA Cup semi-final and a chance to reach Wembley.

Spurs are hosting the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to try and boost supporters' numbers.

I’m told ticket sales are close to what they had for the north London derby in December. They got 19,480 in attendance that day.

There should be a large group of Leicester fans too. Six coaches left the King Power Stadium this morning on free services provided by the club.

Some fans told me they travelled down last night and have been around the ground since the early hours of this morning.

For the winning club, there will be an allocation of 12,000 tickets provided for the final. General admission tickets have already sold out.

There's also a financial incentive to win today as they get £160,000 from the prize fund, with the losing club picking up £40,000.

  14. Spurs boast superior head to head record

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Tottenham boast a superior head to head record between the sides from their Women's Super League fixtures this season.

The teams battled to a 1-1 draw back in November, before Robert Vilahamn's side claimed a 1-0 win on 17th March, courtesy of an early strike from Matilda Vinberg.

So are the hosts the favourites heading into the first of today's semi-finals? We'll have to wait and see.

But remember the old adage that anything goes in a cup tie…

  15. Team news - both sides unchanged

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn has named the same starting line-up from their 1-0 win over Bristol City in their last game.

Tottenham XI: Spencer, Neville, James-Turner, Buhler, Nilden, Summanen, Spence, Clinton, Naz, England, Bizet

Subs: Votikova, Bartrip, Grant, Petzelberger, Ahtinen, Graham, Vinberg, Wang, Thomas

Leicester City are also unchanged from their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in the Women's Super League last time out.

Leicester XI: Kop, Bott, Green, Cayman, Howard, Takarada, Rantala, Tierney, Momiki, Rose, Petermann

Subs: Leitzig, Thibaud, Palmer, Whelan, Pelgander, Siemsen, Goodwin, O'Brien, Baker

  16. Post update

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Shall we take a look at the team news?

  17. Hello there!

    Tottenham v Leicester (12:00 BST)

Rise and shine it's Women's FA Cup semi-final day!

Four teams remain but only two will get a chance to contest next month's final at Wembley.

We are guaranteed at least one debutant in the final, as first-time semi-finalists Spurs and Leicester go head to head in the first match of the afternoon.

The second semi-final offers an intriguing repeat of last year's final, with Chelsea still on a Treble charge and Manchester United looking to claim a would-be first major trophy in their history.

For now though, it’s all eyes on Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
