BUM'S THE WORD

I can make £130k doing a job that nobody wants – people think this career stinks but I love it

Natalie admits nobody considers this career path because of an obvious reason.

A HEALTH worker has told how she could make over £130k a year doing a job that nobody wants.

Natalie, who works with Aqua-Tox, loves her role in spite of the fact most people couldn't stomach one of her most popular clinics.

Colon hydrotherapy uses water to remove toxins from the colon and intestinal tract, with benefits including weight loss, reduced IBS symptoms and detoxification.

Natalie does a variety of different clinics but has worked out that she could make upwards of £130k if she solely focused on colon hydrotherapy full-time.

But despite the potential of making six figures, many people would never think of doing this career for a living.

Natalie says: "I don't think anyone comes out of school or college and wants to work with poo.

"There is a level of maturity required to do the job well and make clients feel comfortable and safe.

"I would recommend colon hydrotherapy as a career path if you love helping others. It is both interesting and rewarding and the income potential is significant.

"I run my own clinic which comes with overheads and costs but by charging a minimum of £85 per colonic treatment I could turn over six figures a year working full-time.

"I love that I get to make people feel good and often go from feeling very nervous to calm and comfortable. I get to chat to interesting people all day long and help them on a journey to feel better.

"When people let go of their bowels they often let go of their emotions and it's a privilege to be able to help clients do this. I love educating my clients during their treatment on the importance of a healthy colon."

However, there are some misconceptions about her role that annoy Natalie.

She adds: "I don’t dislike anything about my job, but I do hate it when people think colonics are bad for you and haven’t done their research, it’s usually people who haven’t had the treatment who have negative things to say.

"A misconception about my job is that I have to deal with poo and bad smells all day, which is not true. I use a closed system which is odourless and a client's modesty is preserved at all times.

"I can see what is coming out through a transparent tube and I have a mirror on the ceiling so the client can also see this if they wish to but it can be really interesting in helping the client to understand their own body, especially digestion and how well they chew their food."
