Killer nurse Lucy Letby LOSES bid to appeal against convictions for murder of seven babies on neo-natal ward

KILLER nurse Lucy Letby today lost a bid to appeal against her convictions for murdering seven babies.
Letby, 34, was found guilty of killing the tots and attempting to murder six others following a lengthy trial last year.

She took her case to the Court of Appeal asking for the green light to bring an appeal against her convictions.
But Dame Victoria Sharp, Lord Justice Holroyde and Mrs Justice Lambert have refused Letby's bid.
Today's decision marks the end of the appeal process for the nurse.
The full details of the bid, which was argued on four points, cannot currently be reported for legal reasons.
However it can be reported that part of her team's argument is that her trial judge wrongly refused legal applications during that trial.
It comes after Letby previously unsuccessfully applied for leave to appeal against her convictions following her trial.
Letby was convicted in August last year of murdering seven babies while working at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
She was also found guilty of attempting to murder six others between 2015 and 2016.

Letby was handed a whole life order that means she will be never be released from prison.
Jurors were unable to reach verdicts on six counts of attempted murder in relation to five children.
Letby is facing a retrial at Manchester Crown Court next month on a single count of attempted murder against a baby girl known as Child K in February 2016.
A court order prohibits reporting of the identities of the surviving and dead children.
