A RETURN date for Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has been confirmed, and it's not long now until the TV legends make their comeback.
Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 47, recently announced on their ITV show Limitless Win, “We’ll see you very soon for the return of Saturday Night Takeaway!”
Surely enough, the 20th series of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be making a comeback on screens on Saturday 24 February at 7pm.
The show's format focuses on a mixture of live and prerecorded entertainment and quiz segments, including an audience-based quiz with plenty of celebrity guests.
The multi-award-winning show is back next weekend and promises viewers new high-octane challenges, hilarious hidden camera setups, new studio games and live surprises.
Season 20 of Saturday Night Takeaway will also be a meaningful, magical celebration of all things Takeaway from over the years for viewers, hosts and guests alike.
Next weekend, the new season will be kicking off with Stephen Merchant as the guest announcer, the unveiling of the new Little Ant & Dec, and a hilarious Simon Cowell ‘Undercover’ with a special End of show performance with Becky Hill and Urban Theory.
Later in the series, there's an unmissable ‘Get Out Of Me Ear: The Revenge’, in which celebrities who have been hidden camera victims of Ant & Dec over the years finally get their revenge.
Last year, Ant and Dec scooped up yet another TV Presenter Award at the National Television Awards.
The presenting duo spoke exclusively to The Sun, revealing what they have in store for the final series of SNT.
They revealed that they planned for the ITV show to go out with a bang in 2024, meaning viewers should be expecting the unexpected and all manner of celebrity guests.
Ant told The Sun at the time: “We want it to be the biggest send-off, so we’re resting it for a while, so everyone we haven’t managed to get on in the last few years, we’re going to try to get on.
He added: “It’s a massive celebration of the last 20 years as it’s been 20 years.”
“It’s going to be really sad at the end of it, but we’re going to have fun until the final episode.”
Without giving away any spoilers, Ant also revealed that the show will have an impressive line-up of celebs joining them.”
“We always get [the guests we want] on in the end,” he said.
Dec described the next series as “fun and frantic. "
He added: “There'll be new stuff. We're going to bring back some old stuff, some old favourites from the last 20 years.”
In September, the duo also revealed that they were on the lookout for two new stars to act as their mini-mes.
Even though SNT will be taking an extended break after season 20, that doesn’t mean the legendary duo are taking a break from presenting.
In the meantime, they are expected to continue with their other hit shows, such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent, and Limitless Win.
