LOVE Island beauty Maya Jama has been accused of swearing on Saturday Night Takeaway - forcing her to step in an clarify.

TV host Maya became the latest star to take over the gameshow's voice over booth for Ant and Dec - and left a lasting impression.

While doing her voice over duties, and telling fans what was coming up throughout the episode - including a musical-themed End Of The Show Show.

"The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gang...ooh gosh!" she laughed. "They are here for the End Of The Show Show, see you after the break."

She then joked "That was close!" but fans thought that she hadn't caught her error in time and had, in fact, repeatedly said the word 's***y' instead of 'chitty'.

Ever the professional, Maya realised why fans may have heard something slightly off, and was quick to offer clarification.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she wrote alongside crying laughing emojis: "I actually swear to God I’m saying chitty. It just sounds sooo close!"

Thankfully she was able to make it through the episode somewhat unscathed - although several still weren't convinced she hadn't sworn live on camera.

Her time as the special guest star comes before Ant and Dec's final ever episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.

The episode, which is set to air in April, will see the show wind down after over a decade and a half on air.

As a result, the Geordie duo are pulling out all the stops - including A-list appearances which is set to include Girls Aloud in their first major primetime show since they reunited.

Meanwhile Maya is set to head off to start hosting duties on Love Island again in a matter of weeks, after successfully hosting The Brit Awards for the first time.
