After almost two years of being engaged, the duo got married in front of their closest friends and family over the weekend.

Jonathan, 40, tweeted on Monday: “I never thought I’d have the courage to live my truth so boldly, and here I am, a proud gay man, who just became the luckiest man on earth.

“Meet Mr & Mr Bennett Vaughan.”

Meanwhile, Jaymes told People, who announced the marriage news: "When you're part of the LGBTQ+ fam, not everything in the wedding space is for you yet.

"The whole purpose of our wedding is to come together and join the two of us together, join our families together and start a new family."

Jonathan's friend, YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen, officiated the wedding, while RuPaul Drag Race's Jackie Cox was the emcee for the reception.

As for attire, both grooms wore black tuxedos, while the rest of the wedding party for white ones.

Guests also wore white, which Jonathan shared was in honor of his late mother, who loved white flowers.

Of the emotional event, Jaymes told the outlet: "I got to marry my best friend!

"I knew we'd be emotional but I don't think either of us realized just how overwhelming that moment would be until we were in it.

"Seeing him crying only made me cry harder, and then our guests cry harder, and then we'd all start laughing, and then all back into crying."

SO ROMANTIC

Jonathan and Jaymes had gotten engaged in November 2020 after three years of dating.

The Hallmark star revealed that actor Jaymes proposed while playing an original song he wrote for Jonathan.

Jonathan said his sister shouted for him to look outside, and that Jaymes was standing in his yard with a sign that read: "We never did find our song, so I wrote it for you."

The tune - which was entirely "personal to Jonathan" - then started playing out of a hidden speaker.

'UGLY CRYING'

"It’s hard for me to really remember the rest because I think my body just decided to black out and ugly cry," Jonathan told the outlet.

He added:"All I was doing was ugly crying. But I just remember feeling like I was home. I knew from the minute I saw him with the sign I was getting proposed to.

"When I saw Jaymes take a knee I was so excited I just started hysterically screaming because I didn’t know how to express myself properly.

"There was a moment when you feel like, 'Oh, this is forever, I understand it.' I screamed 'Yes' immediately. Actually it was, 'Yes! Of course!'"

The couple started dating in 2017 and went Instagram official in November of that year.
