The Asbestos Risk Management System (ARMS) is part of Network Rail’s framework for compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012).
It is used for the monitoring and management of asbestos containing materials (ACMs). It is mandated for use with those assets where Network Rail is the dutyholder. It is a web-based application and is accessed using the internet in a secure manner.

For Network Rail users to obtain access to the system please click here. Note that there is no requirement for read only access requests to be approved, however Network Rail edit rights requests will need to be approved by the relevant line manager following the individual receiving training from Claritas.
If you are the sponsor for a non-Network Rail user (e.g. a UKAS-accredited asbestos consultant or a train operating company), a call will need to be raised with the IT helpdesk on 01270 721600 for external access requests.
Please note that unauthorised access is forbidden and any attempt to access the Asbestos Risk Management System when not permitted is a very serious issue and Network Rail will take all steps under the law to prosecute persons who try to access this site illegally.
