LEADERSHIP

Our Executive Committee is responsible for delivering the BBC’s services in accordance with the strategy agreed by the Board, and for all aspects of operational management.

The Executive Committee is chaired by Tim Davie, our Director-General.

Freelancers are an integral part of how we create and bring our amazing content, coverage and programmes together. They provide the essential creative input and technical expertise that we need alongside our permanent employees.

At the BBC we engage freelancers via a different mechanism to our permanent and fixed term contract resource to accommodate the different way of working.
