I am very sure that the link to Lisa Martin leads to the wrong person66.254.238.46 06:51, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keohane usually is characterized as a leading theorist within the neoliberal approach to international relations. The article describes him as a utilitarian in just war theory, however there is no mention on his Princeton profile, personal web site or CV of utilitarianism or just war theory. He has written extensively on hegemony and neoLiberalism more generally, including in processes of economic integration between states. I will suggest that a major revision and extension of this article is appropriate, not least since Keohane was voted by his peers as the most significant recent thinker in international relations. 11:38, 2 December 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alcabrer (talkcontribs)

Pronunciation of last name[edit]

Currently, the following pronunciation for "Keohane" is given in the article: /ˌkiːoʊˈhɑːn/. However, in this introduction to him at a talk at LSE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pM-J_TM2pRc (at 0:22), the presenter, Christopher Hughes, says something like /ˈkoʊˌhan/, to which Robert Keohane responds "perfect, perfect."

The Oxford Dictionary of Family Names in Britain and Ireland lists "Keoghan" as a variant to "Keohane", which should be pronounced somewhat more like /ˈkoːən̪ˠ/ based on my rudimentary understanding of Irish phonology.

Harry Kreisler says /ˈkoʊˌheɪn/, unobjected by Keohane himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5foxGFXNl-s at 0:36

In light of this information I have removed the pronunciation until a source for it is given. --Ph. Immel (talk) 09:53, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
