A few days ago, we served as jury members in Düsseldorf alongside David Erhun and Mika Weissenberger for the #ImpactGermany program organised by Business France Deutschland. 🇩🇪 This 8-month accelerator initiative is designed for innovative French tech companies, helping them understand German business practices, build a strong French-German network, and navigate the market with the support of a German-speaking advisor dedicated to their project. We shared the jury panel with Vidar Andersen and Nils Beckmann, and had the opportunity to spend time with the eight selected companies, providing them with feedback on their commercial pitches and fundraising strategies to better prepare their go-to-market plans💪 👉 Learn more here https://lnkd.in/eTribDJU

Believe had a vision, XAnge backed it to success 🚀 We're thrilled to share a monumental milestone in our European VC journey. XAnge has successfully completed its exit from Believe, a cornerstone investment in the music space. A consortium composed by Denis Ladegaillerie, Founder and CEO of Believe, EQT Group, and TCV, has acquired a block of 71% of Believe's capital, including all of the shares managed by XAnge. This milestone represents a cumulative divestment amount of €150 million since our first investment in the company in 2007. It also sets a new record as the largest exit amount ever attained by XAnge in a single company. When we made our initial seed investment in the company in 2007, the first VC fund to back Believe, its revenues stood at...€2M. Fast forward to 2024, they could cross the €1B revenue mark. 💥  When Denis Ladegaillerie came for the first time to visit XAnge in 2007 to pitch us his startup, he sat down with Nicolas Rose (Managing Partner at XAnge and investor in Believe) to discuss the sea-change the music industry had already experienced by then (think CD to MP3 & iTunes)... and the even larger one ahead, where digital technology would enable independent artists & labels to promote and distribute their work globally. With such a meeting of minds, XAnge decided to back Denis’ radically new vision of how music would be produced and distributed by investing in Believe as the first institutional investor. In doing so, we did not yet know that we had bought ourselves a first-row ticket to a transformational ride that, more than 16 years later, is still evolving more rapidly than ever, at the intersection of artistic creativity and technological progress. What has happened since is what every VC profoundly enjoys: seeing all the market forces align with the original vision of the company. 👏👏 Congratulations to Denis Ladegaillerie, Romain Vivien, Xavier Dumont, Emilie Megel and the entire Believe Team for their remarkable journey.  Thank you also to our co-investors, Ventech (Alain Caffi), and TCV (John Doran) for your constant and positive support. And to fellow board members, Orla Noonan Anne-France Laclide, Cécile Frot-Coutaz for all the excellent interactions we had together.

TreeFrog Therapeutics and Vertex Pharmaceuticals have inked an exclusive licensing and collaboration agreement in type 1 diabetes.
