#HumanRightsDefenders in courtrooms. Summoning activists to courtrooms, combined with the decline of the rule of law and attacks on the independent judiciary, is a serious weapon against human rights and democracy. It is worth highlighting selected cases from Poland (2015-2023) and their implications. This blog article is written by Aleksandra Gliszczyńska-Grabias and Katarzyna Sękowska-Kozłowska. Both Aleksandra and Katarzyna  are  assistant professors at the Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences.

Update from Athens remarkable Global Campus Alumni (GCA) event 🎉 🌟 From April 16th to 19th, over 40 alumni from across the globe gathered to delve into the crucial topics of climate justice and the rights of future generations. The agenda was jam-packed with ambitious discussions and enriching experiences. Our alumni showcased challenges, ideas, and projects specific to their regions, fostering valuable cross-regional dialogue. We were honoured to engage with esteemed experts from the Greek scene who provided invaluable insights into these critical issues. Special thanks to Prof. Maria -Daniella Marouda, MEP Petros Kokkalis, Nikos Chrysogelos - Deputy Mayor of Athens for Climate Governance Social Economy - and Dr. Christos GIANNAKOPOULOS Research Director at the National Observatory of Athens, IPCC National Focal Point for Greece, for sharing their expertise and perspectives on the future of climate justice.
