ORA in Numbers
Statistics for ORA usage are provided for ORA by IRUS UK and are presented here for information only. IRUS records the number of unique visitors to the site, number of visits to each record, and number of downloads of individual files. Reports are run daily with monthly summaries.
Usage statistics are filtered by IRUS to remove non-human website traffic from robots, such as Google, Facebook, Baidu, and Bing, and are COUNTER-conformant.

ORA Stats have changed
From October 2021 statistics recorded by ORA changed. Statistics are now recorded using IRUS UK. IRUS UK aims to track only individual acts by humans, and uses a set of filters to remove views and downloads by robots and other non-human agents, as well as filters to remove, for example, repeated loads of a page or downloads of a file by the same user. Views and download counts on individual ORA records may change with the switch to IRUS, and some recorded statistics may reset to 'zero'. However, IRUS UK offers ORA a more stable statistics mechanism, and provides the repository with further opportunity in highlighting 'genuine' repository content use, as well as enabling COUNTER compliance. If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact us.
