The Silent Struggle: Mental Wellbeing Skills for Dads 

Navigate the journey of fatherhood with confidence and resilience through our specialised therapy course and workshop series tailored to support dads and dads-to-be. Join a space where you can share experiences together. Our practical sessions empower you to take control of your life, find deeper meaning, and foster connections that matter.

– Four Sessions: Each session is conducted over Zoom and 1.5 hours in duration.

– Flexible Booking: Choose between booking individual sessions or enrolling in the comprehensive 4-week course for maximum benefits.

 

Session 1: The Power of self-talk

Discover the art of cultivating a positive relationship with yourself and acknowledging your struggles with kindness. Master techniques to remain present and connected, fostering resilience, building fulfilment, and increasing contentment in your life.

Session 2: Getting out of your thoughts and into your life

Develop and explore practical strategies to effectively manage unhelpful thoughts. Acquire skills that empower you to decrease the influence and power of negative thoughts and enable you to take more control of your life.

Session 3: Your emotions are your allies

Gain insight into how our emotions serve to guide us to what truly matters in our lives. Learn to understand the reasons behind our emotional experiences and overcome barriers helping you move towards what you value most.

Session 4: Building the life you want

Empower yourself to develop meaningful relationships with your partner and children, while gaining confidence in your role as a father. Begin to identify the meaning and purpose in your life, cultivating a sense of fulfilment through doing what matters.

 

About the model:

Our program is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a scientifically proven approach backed by extensive research trials. ACT, founded on principles of contextual psychology, is utilised in both therapy and coaching. It is renowned for its effectiveness in addressing a wide range of mental health conditions.

About the therapist

Kathryn Di Virgilio, an experienced mental health therapist and registered health professional, brings a wealth of knowledge to guide you. With a background in both the NHS and private sector in the UK and Australia, Kathryn is dedicated to supporting parents on their mental health journey. Trained extensively in ACT and skilled in group facilitation, she is committed to empowering you to thrive in fatherhood.
