The Azeri Central East (ACE) platform, our latest and most technologically advanced platform in the Caspian, has come online. Located off the coast of Baku, Azerbaijan, the platform is part of our effort to help secure vital #Energy supplies for the region and Europe – and grow value for bp, too. It’s the latest piece in the maturing Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field, which means we can continue to make the most of the basin. Helping to fuel the world’s first transatlantic flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (#SAF) by a commercial airline: done ✅ But our sky-high ambitions for our SAF business didn’t end on touchdown. Although most of what we produce today is conventional jet fuel, we plan to invest to produce more #Biofuels to help make it more available for our customers, and to create value for bp too. We know scaling up SAF production won’t be easy, but we want to help make it happen and help enable lifecycle carbon emission savings associated with the aviation industry.
