Irish actor David Wilmot (71, Calvary, Shadow Dancer) has signed on for a regular role on the fourth season of Starz’s Treasure Island prequel series Black Sails. He will play bounty hunter Israel Hands. Season 3 premiered last week, picking up in the wake of the destruction of Charles Town, with the world in fear of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens). Wilmot, repped by Hamilton Hodell and Gersh, is known as Sgt. Donald Atherton in BBC One drama Ripper Street and has a role in HBO’s upcoming miniseries Lewis & Clark. Wilmot also will be seen in John Michael McDonagh’s upcoming feature War On Everyone.
Jocelin Donahue (Free Samples) has landed a recurring role opposite Martin Freeman and Adam Brody on the new Crackle series Start Up. Written and executive produced by Ben Ketai, the hourlong series explores what happens when a brilliant, yet controversial tech idea gets incubated on the wrong side of the tracks by three strangers who don’t necessarily fit the mold of “tech entrepreneurs. Donahue, repped by The Group Management, will play Maddie Pierce. Best known for her lead role in House Of The Devil, Donahue’s upcoming projects include Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups, Dead Awake and Boomtown.
