What is Bitesize?

BBC Bitesize is a free online study support resource designed to help with learning, revision and homework!

Bitesize provides support for learners aged 3 to 16+ across a wide range of school subjects. It also supports children and young people’s wellbeing and career choices. Bitesize also has hundreds of published lessons to help students across the UK with home schooling.

Bitesize guides are written by teachers and subject experts and are mapped to follow the curricula of the UK. Secondary Bitesize follows exam board specifications for the main exam boards in the UK, including for GCSE in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and National 4, National 5 & Highers in Scotland, ensuring students are preparing for the right exams.

How do I use Bitesize?

Bitesize is an extensive range of resources that can be used whether you're teaching or learning in the classroom, completing or helping with homework, getting your children ready for school or revising for exams.

We have subject specific guides and games for all school ages across the UK, available across all digital devices. We even have a number of lessons available on iPlayer.

Early Years (3-5 year olds)

We now have a number of resources with which to kick start your child's learning journey and help them with their transition to primary school. You can practise their English and Maths skills with them and also have a bit of fun while doing it, with one of our new games aimed at pre-school and Reception children.

Primary (5-11 year olds)

Begin the learning journey by watching an animated video and doing an interactive activity with your child. English, maths and science games then help them put their knowledge into practice and can be played with or without parental support!

Primary Bitesize covers core subjects, including: English, Welsh, maths, science, history and geography.

Key Stage 3 (11-14 year olds)
