Style It Out is an exciting new series on CBBC.

Follow the journey of nine of the UK's best young designers as they make incredible outfits from preloved and rescued materials. Who will succeed at the surprises, impress the judges, and take home the ultimate prize?

Each week, you'll be inspired by the Style It Out designers and get to see how much can be done with old clothes. All it takes is imagination, commitment and your own, unique style!

It's out with the new and in with the old... So let's get ready to style it out!

This series of Style It Out is 11 episodes long. Over the first two rounds, nine contestants compete for a place in the semi-final. The winner of each semi-final gets through to the Grand Final, plus a wildcard finalist chosen by the resident judges. The winner of the Style it Out Grand Final wins the chance to show their designs at London Fashion Week, and we follow their journey in Episode 11.

Style It Out is presented by Emma Willis, alongside stylists to the stars and resident judges Ayishat Akanbi and Jorge Antonio. Plus, there are guest judges to look out for, like social media star Kyle Thomas, pop star Talia Mar and Strictly star Katya Jones!

In Style It Out, contestants receive challenges to design outfits on particular themes - things like animals, ultimate school uniform and even Halloween! Then there's just five minutes to look around Style It Out's Fashion Closet - full of preloved and rescued clothes and materials - and find five items to style into something new... Which five items will the contestants pick, and will their designs wow the judges?

At the end of each show, the winner is named Design Star and gets the ultimate fashion accessory - a golden coat hanger! The Design Stars must progress through the first rounds, the semi-final and the Grand Final before the ultimate winner is crowned.

Then, as the contest finds its final winner, there's the most amazing prize: Getting to show your designs alongside the world's most famous designers at London Fashion Week - the biggest fashion event in the UK!

Sustainable fashion is about reducing our clothing's impact on the environment. The fashion industry is starting to realise how important sustainable fashion is to young people, and how consumers want clothes that are ethically made and environmentally friendly. But we can all make our own difference too, by making new clothes from those that are already available.

This is the opposite of fast fashion. Fast fashion is often low-priced clothes that look like the latest designer trends. But this often comes at an environmental or ethical cost, from the choices of clothing material to how the people who made the clothes are treated. 

Fast fashion and our love of new clothes can have a devastating impact on our environment. This is why Style It Out's message of out with the new and in with the old is such an important one.
