Football's More Than Goals

Women's football history

Women's football was banned by the FA in England in 1921 and women weren't allowed to play professionally again until 1971. In 2022 Jill Scott and her England teammates won the European Championship with a win over Germany. The Lionesses are competing in the Women's World Cup 2023 and hope to lift another trophy.
